Ofsted and Performance Data
Summercroft Primary School was inspected by Ofsted on the 14th and 15th December 2022. Please see the full report via the Ofsted website or attached below.
Summercroft continues to be a good school, as judged by Ofsted. This positive outcome is due to the dedication of the staff, the strong partnership with parents and carers, pupils who are proud to be part of Summercroft and are enthusiastic about their learning, and governors who hold the school to account effectively. In addition, our work with Matt Johnson, Hertfordshire Improvement Partner, has provided challenge and support in moving the school forward over the past couple of years.
The report mentions two areas for development, which the inspector recognised had already been identified by the Leadership Team. Both points, along with other actions which we think will improve the school even further, are part of this academic year's School Improvement Plan. We will continue to develop these areas to ensure we maintain high standards to drive Summercroft forward over the coming months and years.
A particular highlight, in the feedback meeting with the Inspector, was her belief that we could run the National Grid off the children's enthusiasm for learning. This is the culture that we have worked hard to create at Summercroft and it was lovely to have the verification from His Majesty's Inspector!
My gratitude and appreciation goes to all those involved with the school who have made this possible by their various contributions. A report we should all be proud of!
