Snacks

At morning breaktime, Early Years and Key Stage 1 children have a drink of either milk or water. The school provides milk free milk up until the child turns 5, then subsidised milk is available via the Coolmilk.com site. They also receive a free piece of fruit or vegetable as part of the National School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme.

The Year 3 – 6 children can bring their own healthy snack (i.e. fresh fruit or vegetable). As part of our Healthy Schools work, we encourage the eating of a Healthy Snack.
We are a nut-free school as we have children with severe nut allergies.  No nuts or any foodstuff containing nuts (i.e. peanut butter spread, nutella or cereal bars) should be brought into school.

Water

We encourage children to bring a bottle of water into school each day and refill it with drinking water from the classroom. We ask that children bring a plastic sports cap bottle with a capacity of no more than 500ml. This can remain on their table during the school day and may be refilled at breaktimes. The bottle must be clearly named and taken home each day for cleaning.
