Earlier this term, students from Year 6 were selected to participate in this year’s Big Bang Science Fair which was held at Herts and Essex. Prior to the event, over the course of three weeks, children worked collaboratively to research, design and carry out their own scientific investigation. For the event itself, children displayed the results and scientific conclusions that they made and created an immersive presentation. Throughout the day, our science teams shared and demonstrated their scientific research and experiments to over 200 visitors. Although we didn’t win any of the judged categories in the competition, the children made Summercroft proud, and their budding confidence was on full display.
